At their 70,000 square-foot manufacturing facility just below the St. Johns Bridge, Bushwacker employs over 120 local people for all business operations – design, production, shipping, sales and management.
The products they design, manufacture and sell primarily focus on plastic thermoforming – the process of vacuum molding a sheet of plastic around a shape to ultimately create a finished automotive component such as a Fender Flare, Bed Rail Cap, bumper cover or other trim piece. In 2007 they produced several new products for new model cars, trucks and SUVs, and shipped thousands of products around the world through their network of over 7,200 dealers.
Bushwacker is a long-time Sterling customer. They use a dedicated T1 line to support their regular data operations including Internet, email and database connectivity.
“Our web site at www.bushwacker.com is hosted by Sterling, where we see over 267,433 pageviews and 30,418 visits a month-all from people interested in adding the style of our products to their vehicle. While the demands on our data infrastructure continue to grow, Sterling’s support is top notch, always ready to help us along the way,” said John Hay, Bushwacker’s Associate Marketing Manager.
Bushwacker’s growing success keeps people busy 24 hours a day, but the company takes the necessary time to give back to the community. They regularly support several organizations such as The Community Transitional School
(www.transitionalschool.org) and Childhelp (www.childhelp.org) to continue growth as a community and nation, by helping children in need of education and support.
